Greenway Center, Uptown Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States
Greenway Center is a unique and visionary redevelopment of the Walker Library and surrounding area.
The Greenway Center is a unique and visionary redevelopment of the Walker Library and the surrounding area. This proposal brings together the synergy of community services, --the Walker Library, YWCA, and a new medical clinic-- and ties them together with new commercial development at Uptown's transit nexus. The new Walker Library bridges the Greenway and interacts with the pedestrian life of Uptown and activity on the Greenway below. Also included in the plan is a commercial development where the existing library is located, a medical office above the library, new office/program space for the YWCA, and an expanded YWCA garage which would also be shared with the library and medical office.
