San Mateo Center, San Mateo, California, United States

A 21st-century mixed-use center developed around a transit corridor station and created to make the City and County of San Mateo a destination point inside the northern half of Silicon Valley. With a 24/7 land usage, the San Mateo Center would bring numerous jobs, residents, significant city tax revenues, and livable park and open spaces to San Mateo. The 45-acre plan includes 12 acres of natural park space, a pleasant pedestrian environment, 1,000 housing units, a 900-room hotel, 500,000 square feet of office space, 2 million square feet of retail / commercial space, and parking for about 10,000 cars.
